NMC & 6Cs
We had a tour at the library and met the library staff who show different areas of library and provided us information and sources that are necessary for our course. We also looked at all the relevant information about theory hour log and tripartite meeting form.
NMC & 6Cs
We discussed the importance to comply with the NMC Code of conduct and relevance of the 6Cs. The NMC Code is there to protect the public by making sure all their registrants deliver high standard of care to their patients.
The Code sets out standards of education, practice and conduct. Registered nurses, midwifes and nursing associates are expected comply with the Code. These professionals are responsible for their behaviors’ and action. The Code contains four themes: prioritise people, practice effectively, preserve safety and promote professionalism and trust.
The 6Cs are the key principle that guides nursing practice and plays a crucial role for provide high quality and patient centred care. These 6Cs are defined as: care compassion, communication competent, courage and commitment.
As trainee nursing associate it’s important that I understand the standards NMC Code practice and to comply with it as well as the 6Cs and their importance in nursing.
