The gallery has been open for a long time the spaces has always been a gallery since 1900s the gallery is funded by many different organisation such as the national lottery, arts council, and some individual employees are funded by children in need those individual run different project within the gallery space as this gallery is a free entry for all it has to get a lot of funding form different organisations.

The community outreach project has been going on for about 12 to 10 years now and the TA and the council built a new space for the outreach project to happen as they where knocking down the old space which was and old estates shop. within this new space they do workshops for children from 5 to 12 although they do encourage parent with children below that age of 5 to stay and play to they also have a young peoples work shop for teens and young adults
