I have never experienced working at a Children’s Centre before and therefore I am excited to see the different play activities that are prepared for the children. In the past I have only ever attended Nursery and Primary school settings, meaning that I interacted with the teacher practitioners as well as the children. However with a Children’s Centre I will not only be interacting with the practitioners and children, though parents will also be contributing in sessions with their children. I am intrigued to see what this experience is like, as I have never had to intermingle with parents in a children’s setting, consequently I will be able to see what it is like to have parents involved in a working environment. When I attend the Children’s Centre I will make sure that I follow the safeguarding rules in order to keep the children under protection. I am looking forward to the Centres schedule for the children and how different activities adapt children’s development. Overall I hope that this placement allows me to have an insight of how to intermingle with parents in this particular setting and I am hoping that my  knowledge expands further on children’s developmental abilities.
