I had the experience to help the nurse with the admission of new patients.

When the patient came on the ward, we introduced ourselves and, with the patient’s agreement, maintained his dignity and privacy.

The nurse examined the patient’s skin, which was intact, and then prepared the MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus) and CPE (carbapenemase-producing enterobacterales) swabs for laboratory testing.

The nurse documented the whole procedure on the cerner along with the patient’s personal things.

In addition, whether the patient had dentures or hearing aids  was evaluated and documented.
