IT during BSE1

Throughout BSE1 I have developed my SMART Notebook skills by creating slides for the majority of my lessons that I taught. I utilised features such as the reveal curtain, timers and inserting text and pictures. I found the ability to write onto the slides during the lesson very beneficial for brainstorming ideas with the Yr6 class, as shown below:

I also instructed a lesson where children had to create trifold leaflets based on the topic of healthy bones and muscles. The children learnt how the page organisation of a trifold worked and successfully created leaflets which were interesting and informative.

As the internet was so accessible at home and at school, this enabled me to use resources online to aid my teaching, such as the maths website www.mathsbot.com; an online generator for maths starters. I used this frequently at the beginning of maths lessons.

IT and the internet has been very beneficial throughout BSE1.
