The War Memorial based on Digby Stuart

This lecture was very interesting, as I was intrigued to learn that we have so much at our fingertips here on campus in regard to the foundation of the Society of the Sacred Heart.

However, on the one hand, it helped me to narrow down my potential project for next term, as I think attempting to create a project around such a broad topic such as the society of the Sacred Heart would be too overwhelming. Although, I am once again leaning towards possibly looking in to an individual and discussing their connections with the campus and Roehampton as both a town and an institute of education – if education even had a role to play in why they are now associated with my campus? Where their ties purely religious? Who decided to commemorate them, and why in this manner, and what was the layout of the panels? And who designed who and what was written on them? However, I am not sure who I would want to study.
