No doubt about it, It was a great achievement that equally single them out as they played a pivotal role  because it was an era that of a catalyst for total religious  change that ushered in democratisation of faith.

They separated  from the authority of Pope governance and the roman catholic church which played  a significant  role in translation of the Bible in English. Before the reformation there was only one translation of the Bible that was only in Latin language. This latin language was only understood by few people and the clergy of the church.

However, Tyndale Bible which was named after William Tyndale a notable  figure in the protestant Church. He was the architect of translating from Hebrew and Greek languages which enable common people to have access to reading of the Bible .Tyndale Bible and eventually led to King James Bible later that brought in new words  and restructures the  phrases into new English version. which later led to  the spread of protestant ideas, democratisation of faith whereby they have opportunity to challenge the church authority which later paved way for the birth of  protestantism.

However there is a need for the separation of church and the state. Religious faith and practice remain a personal choice .Initially in 21st century, Great Britain is multi cultural society that strives to protect freedom of religious. Up till now the Queen or King still remain the head of state and the head of the church of England.
