Session Plan 2

Related to the theory:

  • Multimedia principles – segemented principle, pre-training principle (associated to participation in session 1),
  • and other principles, but as activity is to be chosen by the pupil it is hard to say which others will be involved.

 

S – focused activity, providing pupils the opportunity to be creative and choose

M – Good participation, with choice of independent or involvement of sibling or friend

A – This activity can last for as long as the pupil would like, therefore giving them the responsibility of deciding

R – provides a future use for the reason behind the activity

T – pupils can choose the length that this activity lasts for

 

Session 2: Learning Objectives
  • Pupils will work independently at home, thinking creatively about different ways to count.
  • Parent to support their child with their chosen counting activity.
  • Using the e-learning resource below, the whole class will create a poster which identifies different ways of counting.
  • The Padlet blackboard can also be used for future assistance at home, with counting or maths homework.
Teacher/ Parent: Pupils:
  • To encourage independence and creative thinking.
  • Child can do this activity by them-self or include a friend and/ or sibling.
  • During the activity or after the activity (activity dependent) to take a picture showing the child counting.
  • Then upload the picture to the Padlet blackboard, link below.
  • How to Padlet Instructions (found in the pdf instructions, on the previous page) and/ or a video link is below.
  • To think independently about their favorite way of counting, or a different way of counting (thinking outside of the box).
  • To collectively create a counting poster, using the picture taken from this activity.
