Session Plan 3

Related to theory:

  • Multimedia principles – spatial continuity principle, pre-training principle, multimedia principle

 

S – activity is focused, with an end goal of shared interaction and participation

M – Good emotional and social behaviour, through active participation the game will show a score at the end when the time is up.

A – target seems achievable, as pupils will have already been interacting with numbers, as well a previous participation in session 1 and session 2.

R – a short timed game that can be played once or more than once, child interest dependent

T – the game is timed for 90 seconds, which offers time to collect points but short enough to keep their attention.

 

Session 3: Learning Objectives
  • Pupils to independently participate in this fun interactive counting game.
  • Pupils to work independently in school classroom or at home.
  • Parent or Teacher to support the child with this activity, encouraging independent thinking and working.
Teacher/ Parent: Pupils:
  • To encourage independence.
  • Child can do this activity by them-self or include a friend and/ or sibling.

  • To think independently.
  • To gain more confidence with numbers, interacting with numbers, and identifying numbers.
  • Can use the Padlet blackboard for help.

Learning Outcome:

  • become more independent

  • further active participation with numbers 0-10

Further progression:

  • Set a code that will ask for a set specific number only to be clicked, rather than all of them offering points
  • Set an ‘if’ function, to set questions to only click on a set specific number
  • Extend up to 20
  • Increase the speed of the numbers
  • Create a clearer end game screen page or pop-up
