Hello you! Welcome to my blog. I’m very excited for you to be here.
Growing up, I was from an early age easily drawn to politics and found current international situations around the world very interesting. For me, it has been important to engage in politics in order to get a better understanding of how society works. Additionally, having a political interest has been a chance for me to articulate a feeling of how I think the world should look like. This has helped me to understand how I can use my political voice in order to create a better and fairer world. Because of my political interest, I have gotten a deeper understanding of social issues and political problems both locally and internationally.
In contrast to many of my close friends, politics have always fascinated me. This blog will be a place for me and you to take this a step further, by hopefully growing a deeper understanding of the political systems and the inequalities that comes with it. Having said that, I am by no means an expert and I hope that we together can explore, learn and better understand the world we live in.
As an international undergraduate student living in London, I have been able to drastically widen my perspectives of the social world. Living in a different country as a Norwegian in London, I have gained a deeper sense of reflection on the inequalities and privileges I face in my life. Through this blog, and the posts that will go with it, I hope to share some of my though and worries about current issues such as inequality, age, social class and political engagement. Politics is about people, and by exploring these issues I hope we are able to get a broader sense of some of the social problems facing us today.
