This tour has been my favorite so far. It was really amazing to see the kings library, the Magna Carta, and The Beatles exhibit.
As soon as you walk in to the library you’ll be overwhelmed by the amount of old texts that fill the shelves all the way to the top of the building. It was really great to learn about the reasoning for creating the kings library as well and the giving out of books to the public seemed like a big moment for the people living here in that time period so it was amazing to see that with my own eyes.
I was also really glad to see all of the famous documents that were on display there. The Magna Carta is something that you spend your whole life hearing and learning about so it is truly mind blowing to see that in person and be able to experience that turning point in history.
Finally, The Beatles exhibit was by far my favorite exhibit of my trip to London. Being able to see the hand-written lyrics to songs like hard days night was something I did not expect to ever be able to experience.
This stop on my trip has been my favorite simply because it had such a variety of different things to look at and learn about. The past few trips to different art galleries have shown me a lot about the culture, but not as much about history compared to the history displayed at the library. I also really enjoyed the area surrounding the library and ended up spending a good part of the day exploring that part of town.
