I’m feeling excited and nervous at the same time before the first day of my placement at the forest school tomorrow (24 November 2017).  My son spent some time at a forest school when he was 5 years old and he really enjoyed the experience.  I have never been to a forest school but I’m intrigued by the idea behind it and I look forward to learning about the concept from the teachers, children and parents alike.  I’m interested to see what type of tasks the children get involved with, to observe the environment in the forest available for them to explore and their learning throughout the sessions.  The forest school supervisor informed me that they run morning and afternoon sessions with different age groups.
