Charge Nurse, Patient Engagement
Your Feedback:
The student was initially very soft spoken and appeared nervous when approaching patient in regards to their care, however over the course of the placement this has improved showing gradually increasing confidence in patient interactions. They have begun to start taking initiative when in relates to patient care prompting if certain aspects of care should be competed. The student should continue to develop this and practice when appropriate engage more with the MDT to develop more professional communicate in relation to medical communication.

Very attentive and nothing too much trouble. Calming and thoughtful.
What could the student nurse have done differently?
I don’t feel she needs to change any of her bedside manners and I couldn’t have been more satisfied.

She was very polite and gentle and very softly and caring spoken.
What could the student nurse have done differently?
Isha is very good with a calming nature in difficult situations but I felt she sometimes felt overwhelmed or maybe even intimidated by more experienced staff, without realising how good she is herself.
The advice I would give, do not see as a student. See herself as a nurse in practice.

What did the student nurse do well?
The student nurse was able to communicate in a polite manner with the patient. They showed that they were listening attentively to the patient and helping them with anything they need. The student nurse was able to show care towards the patient by performing tasks to the best of their abilities such as administering the deltaparin injection correctly.
What could the student nurse have done differently?
No improvements.
