your blog on skype was a real eye opener to the important role that this can play in the development of pupils subject knowledge in areas of the curriculm that i was unaware of before? do you think that there is room for this to be expanded upon in the classroom?
I definitely feel this can be developed in the classroom as in Red-bridge at the moment, Skype is being used regularly to develop children’s interest and motivation for learning. I have seen Skype used to teach maths in primary school, the children are able to login and talk directly with specialist maths tutors many of whom in China.
This resource has a number of excellent ways to be explored in the classroom, its just important that these are vetted for classroom usage.
