ICT on BSE 1

The school that I was in had Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom but didn’t really use them- using flipchart paper instead.

I used the Interactive Board for displaying maths resources e.g. fraction walls and shapes, for annotating texts in Literacy and showing videos during lessons.

Laptops were used for research during History Lessons. The school did not have any tablets.

Interactive Whiteboards

This session focused on using the program SMART Notebook.

I learned about the various features of the software that would help me to make fun and interactive learning activities for children.

One activity that I came up up with (but unfortunately didn’t save) was for a science activity about healthy eating. Here, children would drag pictures of food into the mouth and if the food was unhealthy it would get rejected.

It was really helpful to then look at what other people had created.
