Visit 1:
As soon as i walked i was welcomed very nicely by the head teacher, she talked me through the children daily routines. The times of their break and lunch, how we set up the tables for their lunch and morning snack. I was then walked around the building their was 3 rooms one was the babies room 11 to age 1. The second room was for ages 2-3. The third room was ages 3-4. i was told to then read the boards in each room and children’s names so i can familiarise myself with the children and their needs and specific routines if they do have. i was then asked to join the children with carpet time. As soon as i walked over to the carpet ” what’s your name, what’s your name”. the teacher then introduced me very welcomly to the children updating them that i will be around up until summer. The class teacher said this burcin. The whole of carpet time i can hear the children whispering my name. i could tell they were very excited to see someone new.
Todays visit has been very eye opening, i have come across many ways in which the class teacher manages the children. Morning carpet time the children sing “Good morning everybody and how do you do, how do you do, how do you do today”
whilst singing all together, the children use their hands to present the words into actions through sign language. This is amazing in my opinion.
