This is our main outdoor play session. Children are encouraged to play outdoors at this time but they do have a choice if staffing levels permit. Children take part in a wide and varied range of outdoor play activities including – role play e.g. a car wash or a petrol station, wheeled toys, small equipment e.g. balls, bean bags, hoops, playground games such as hopscotch, playing with bubbles, imaginative play with large boxes, creative activities using large brushes and rollers and free play in the large grass area adjacent to the school.

On occasion, particularly in spring and summer, the early morning session also includes outdoor activities.

While weather conditions do not always allow for a prolonged outdoor session, children have the opportunity to play outdoors every day
