Self Portrait – Beginning:

 

Introduction:

The purpose of this exercise was to explore my motivation and background. Why do I write? Who am I?

This was written on the 4th of October on the first day of the module. I hope that by the end it will be more developed.

 

Motivation:

I want . . .

To create, writing is one of the few mediums that allows humans to truly create something that could never exist without intelligent thought.

To entertain, the world is not fun, disasters and bad news are everywhere. I want to provide entertainment and a place to escape.

To make new stories, not necessarily something original but I want to create new worlds and characters.

To find new stories, stories that have never been told, to explore the world through peoples stories and the journey I find myself on trying to communicate those stories.

Conclusion:

A very simple list based submission, part of how I process things is through this manner. It helps me to concentrate and deliberate on the subject at hand better. In this case, I would say that this is a good reflection of myself at the beginning. I was unsure of what I was doing. I hope that by the end of the module my self-portrait will be different but similar.
