I had the opportunity to work with Patrick at Dalby ward. I noticed that he is a hard worker with a high quality of professionalism. Patrick compassion and care for patients has been amazing.

He has a good communication and he able to interact with multiple disciplinary.

i have no doubt that Patrick will be a good addition d’or the nhs .

Patrick is showing a positive approach to learning new skills and trying to exercise it properly. As per my observation, he is a good listener and developing new skills and making significant progress in clinical practice. He is showing good communication with patients and has good interaction with the team .Patrick is managing the proper way to give medications and helps for preparing it and he has a good knowledge about how to manage challenging patients .He is well-behaved and will be an asset to the Nurses team.

Today I observed Patrick prepare and administer medication during medication round with supervisor.

  • Patrick was able to explain what medication was being prepared and why it was being administered.
  • Patrick was able to complete the safety checks and state the patient’s rights without prompting.
  • Patrick was able to document the type of medication, batch number and expiry date.
  • Once completing all checks, Patrick approached the right patient, again complete the 7 pt’s rights, gained consent and explained the procedure with clear communication and was able to reassure the pt.
  • Patrick demonstrated excellent sub cut Injection technique and correct sharps disposal without prompting.
  • Patrick’ demonstrate compassion and excellent communication skills with not only patients but also with staff.
  • further development- to continue practising technique.
