Feedback from placement one year 2 Staff

Role- Neonatal nurse in Croydon University Hospital.

Mia is an excellent student always eager to learn & take initiatives to take part in the care of a baby. Mia managed to look after babies with minimal supervision. Always ask questions if she is not sure about. She has got good knowledge about neonates who needs different respiratory support. Mia learned about neonatal emergencies & worked as a good team member during resuscitation. She interacts with the staff & families in a professional way. Many families appreciated her care. Mia was very supportive to mum’s during breast & bottle feeds.

Mia was doing handover & understand her baby’s history & plan of care. Mia is aware about normal & abnormal observations in the neonates & escalates if any concerns. She knows how to use the giraffe incubator. Mia was able to demonstrate & teach the nurses how to use our new Babylee incubator which was much appreciated by the team. Mia was very supportive to nurses especially during busy times. I’m sure she will be an amazing staff nurse in the future.
