I am really pleased we have been able to facilitate Mia in an area of nursing that she has enjoyed and has been able put theory to practice. Mia has been welcomed in the phlebotomy clinic and a valued member of the team while she has been with the phlebotomists. Well done Mia for obtaining bloods, it is a sensible idea to begin slowly and with a patient who has consented and willing to allow you to take bloods. It was also caring and responsible to check on your patient afterwards, especially as blood tests are often a big worry to children.
