During BSE1 I relied on the IWB to help deliver my lessons. The children were able to come and interact with the board especially through parts of Mathematics lessons to show their process of answering a question as part of AFL. I used an iPad to gather photographic evidence of my lessons and children’s learning. Also with the iPad the class teacher used a program that allowed me to display examples of children’s work in real-time on the IWB. In our school, there was an ICT club a lunchtimes.
During my time at the school, the children had only one lesson where they had actual contact with a piece of technology, where they used an iPad to research their chosen animal for English for chronological reporting. I hadn’t thought about it at the time but I experienced no actual contact with a computer suite during lesson times but only for use during my designated PPA times.
