Date of learning: 16th September 2024
Time: 9:30- 16:30
On the first day of my induction week to the Nursing Associate course we had an introduction to the program and all the different platforms we are going to use such as Moodle, e-portfolio and teams.
It is important we had this introduction as have not used them before and they are an important part of the course as it is the platforms we need to use to evidence our learning throughout out time on the course.
Gaining knowledge from the introduction sessions will enable us to succeed when we start using the platforms such as Moodle and e-portfolio.
We discussed the requirements of the apprentice and what we need to do throughout the next 2 years to gain NMC registration. We had an overview of the modules and the plan for the first year of our nursing associate course. We must complete our learning logs and reflect on out learning. Complete all the learning requirements for the apprenticeship such as placements and theory hours. Participate in tripartite meetings every 12 weeks with my employer and Colin to review my progress on the course.
After today I have a better understanding of the structure for the first year of the nursing associate course and what I have to come in the next few weeks.
