Endocrine System and developing professional relationships
Today we looked at the Endocrine system which releases hormones into the body to regulate the functioning. The endocrine systems is slower, sends chemical messages into the bloodstream and can take years to reach the goal which can be growth of the body. Whereas the nervous system sends messages through nerves instantly to trigger movement. The endocrine works hand in hand with the nervous system.
In the afternoon we looked at developing professional relationships it is important to work as part of a team in nursing to provide effective care for the best interests of the patient while improving the quality of care. Sometimes there can be barriers to team work this can be differences of others within the team, lack of leadership or lack of resources. We need to overcome these barriers to be able to work well as a team.
