Title: Anatomy and Physiology of the Nervous System

What?

Learning about the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system

So What?

Acknowledging the different aspects of the nervous system and its different parts and how the different pathologies that are relevant is related to the different parts of the nervous system being affected

Now what?

This has given me an understanding, as a Nursing Associate to develop my understanding on different patients who are being affected by neurological injuries and this has helped me with gaining knowledge on hoow to work around and support them.

Title: Developing Professional relationships in Nursing

What?

Learning about developing professional realtionships within nursing and how communication is applied

So what?

The lecture gave an insight into various journals and references that highlight the importance of communication when engaging with patients and how there are different semantics such as verbal and non verbal communication.

Now what?

Through this lecture, I have learned the importance of communication and how this is important in learning about seeing the client as a whole and knowing their preferences and respecting them. This helps with building rapport with the patient and helps build trust.
