Learning about the endocrine system
So what?
Learning about how the endocrine system helps with supply hormones for the body and how it is being gradually circulated throughout the body to help with homeostasis and finding a balance to avoid any minor deviation that can cause major probelsm to the bodies balance. lEarning about the different glands and how they are applicable to both male and female and how the hormones can affect them.
Now what?
Learning about the different pathologies in relation to the endocrine system has created an in-depth appreciation to the endorine system and how it can help support to the homeostasis of the body. But also, this has helped me understand my learning as a Nursing Associate on how to actively support patients with brain injury that have endocrine problems.

Learning also how to operate and proeprly do a manual blood pressure reading helps with being prepared for placements that dont have electronic blood pressure readers
Now what?
I have learned from this session is that knowing how to read NEWS2 and how this can help categorise patients who are in critical conditions and should be immeidately supported. Not only that, this helps increase the awareness to provide aid in situations when a patient is medically unwell.
