A pulse oximeter is a medical tool that  measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate. 

Stimulation Expectation 

  I have learnt observing and measuring physiological response to various stimuli , like ]

temperature changes or exercise , to understand how the  body maintains a stable internal environment . Patient care and being accountable.

 

 

SO WHAT: Improving safety and equality of care reflect on what you have learnt and put it in practice.    

 

Stimuli ,SpO2 oxygen saturation reading indicates the percentage of hemoglobin in the red 

red blood cells that are carrying oxygen.

 

NOW WHAT : I have gained knowledge and skills to be accountable for my actions .

WHAT : The oesophagus is a muscular tube that acts as a pathway for food and fluids .

It is part of the digestive system and is known as a food pipe or gullet.

When you swallow , the oesophagus walls contract to move food down to the stomach.

there are different types of monitors, 

finger tip, handheld , benchtop , multimodal small portable devices.,

  

 

 

SO WHAT: The oesophagus runs from the throat  down through the chest , behind the windpipe  and in front of the spine.

NOW WHAT : I have gained understanding , the oesophagus it propels swallowed food and liquids into the stomach through a process called peristalsis , which involves rhythmic muscular contraction .

 

The oesophagus has four layers in the inner lining of submucosa with glands that produce mucus , a muscularis the muscle layer that pushes food down .

and the outer layer is called the adventitia .

Sphincters : the oesophagus has two important sphincters the upper esophageal sphincters at the bottom which control the flow of food into and out of the oesophagus , 

conditions , problems with the oesophagus include acid  reflux. esophagitis inflammation

The endocrine system is  a messenger system in an organism comprising feedback loops of hormones that are released by internal glands directly into the circulatory system and that target and regulate distant organs.

In vertebrates , hypothalamus is the neural control center for all endocrine systems.

Hormones regulate all the body cells controlling your body’s metabolism , growth and many functions .

The renal system includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body , regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood PH.

Also known as the urinary system is responsible for filtering waste products and excess

Fluids from the blood and eliminate them as urine.
