Chiedza understands the different ranges regarding out of range vital signs and the escalation process. Has been assisting with medication rounds and is learning the most common medication used on the ward. Chiedza has been assisting patients with dementia and has learnt how to communicate with them to offer re-assurance. Chiedza is learning to care for nasal gastric tubes and how to establish if the tube is in place or not.Chiedza has begun to document patient care using ABCDE method and is learning the importance of documentation.
Learnt bedside nursing,supervised medicines round,administration of sub-cut injections,care of nasal gastric tubes and administration of medicine via the tube,bladder scans,documentation,vital signs and recognising out of range readings, learnt how to do ECGs,moving and handling,communication.
She was pleasant to be around. She was on time for shifts and she respects patient privacy and dignity works well within a team.
