The use of the interactive whiteboard.

During my BSE1 placement, it very soon became clear that the use of the interactive whiteboard (IWB) was a  component of all lessons, and in fact was an expected part of nearly all inputs.

My skills in creating these have increased over this placement, (a big thank you to my class teacher for showing me the ropes!)

I was most proud of my mathematics slides, which included some starters of background maths knowledge that was part of the schools’ framework, and modelling the actual tasks that would promote the children’s learning.

I also gained a greater understanding of how this technological resource can be used in an engaging way, promoting interest and participation in the children.
