It has taken a while to come to a conclusion about where I would like to be in my future. I have thought of many ways to become successful in my own right, trying to focus on the things that make me feel fulfilled. During this process I have also made some choices that have not benefited me, which has been a learning experience and has steered me in the direction that I want to be in. With much thought I believe that Physiotherapy is the path that I want to take career wise. I have chosen Physiotherapy because of the diverse clientele, being a part of someone’s recovery and the rewards of the hard work put into each patient. With the skills that I have gained in work experience over the years, I feel that this could be a favourable career option. As a former fitness instructor and carer, not only do I feel that this role would be exciting but will also be educational. I have learned how to be attentive to a client’s needs, a good communicator as well as adapting to a client’s emotional and physical needs; I am hoping to bring these experiences to physiotherapy in order to excel.
