Presenting my elevated pitch was a task I did not enjoy, I felt nervous; the fear of public speaking resulted in breathlessness when talking and dries mouth. However, I was able to overcome the fear eventually. When I accepted that it was ok to be nervous I began to pace myself and interact with the audience.
My previous experiences in presenting I was not able to overcome my fear of speaking in front of large audiences, I was incapable of acknowledging how poor I was performing.
Prior to my jobs, I did not have the opportunity to receive feedback on my interaction with the customers other than providing good customers service. The experience I gained gave me confidence when speaking in front of a crowd and to pace myself when talking.
My presentation was the most engaging task I had to complete; I was clear with my verbal communication and timing slides correctly along with it. I also felt that presenting to a large crowd boosted my stage presence. Practicing in front of family members gave an open dialog of feedback, which was great for preparation. As a whole I cannot fault my experience.
