Explored and learnt about the Special Senses

This module was self-taught using the PowerPoint slides available on moodle as instructed by our lecturer. It covered the following senses.

Hearing

Smell

Sight

Taste

Balance

Hearing gave us the anatomy and understanding of the Ear and its functions. It taught me how sound waves are received and then interpreted by the brain and how balance is achieved within the ear.

Sight gave me the anatomy and function of the eye and how this impacts how we see. It also explained about accessory organs of the eyes and what their functions are to protect the eye.

Smell or Olfaction discussed how we can distinguish aromas through the nasal anatomy.

Taste or Gustation was how we taste.
