For this task, I decided to write in the story’s narrators point of view.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved absolutely everything the world had to offer but feared that she would miss it all once she grew up. However, what she didn’t know was that before she was born, a witch cursed her mother (the queen) whilst she was pregnant with her.
At first, the queen felt euphoric. The feeling of power was indescribable. But there’s always a consequence. the darkness was something that she never anticipated. The queens husband turned on her, and her nature fought back. Blood had made her reborn. And it was blood that the witch would not get. She would control it.
The queen vowed she would do everything in her power to protect her child from all and any danger. When Delilah’s father, the king mysteriously died in his sleep, the town folk gathered at his funeral to pay their tributes. The only part of him left now, was their daughter. After this, She wore a collar around her neck, tied to her own wrists to let everyone around her know that she only belonged to herself. She would make sure the curse would ended tonight.
The queen thought she and her baby were safe, but the curse was slow, quiet, crept up on them. On her 8th birthday, name fell into a deep sleep, completely missing her preteen and teenage years. This was the moment when the queen realised that the curse had been inherited by her daughter. And what made matters worse, The queen knew that her daughter would only awaken once she died.
The stories’ resolution was that Delilah (the princess) accepted what happened to her and could now move on with her mother’s blessing that she saw in the mirror. This will be shown through a transition from b/w to colour symbolised this.
