It is true that we as young people often feel left out when political changes are made, and we frequently believe that some of the major issues that primarily affect younger people, such as tuition fees, are frequently overlooked in favour of other issues that politicians deem to be more important. I can attest that I frequently use social media, particularly Instagram, to keep up with issues, simply because it is easier to connect with others and spread the word that way.
I agree with your point about younger people needing to step outside of their comfort zone and participate in political issues, whether that is through modern innovation such as social media. It is true that small steps make larger impacts, even if it takes a while for us to see the changes.
