What is Blended Learning?

There have been many different definitions , none completely agreed upon. However, going on a combination of definitions it is a mixture of activities using a computer or other digital device which can take place both in the at home and in the classroom or just from one location.  For my project Blended learning could be used for my first activity which is using Padlet. This activity can be used in a flipped classroom form of learning as the activity requires the children to write about what they already know about Road safety which can be done from home rather than in the classroom. A benefit of this is that it would give more time to focus on the other activities in the classroom as time may be short. However, a disadvantage of using Blended learning in my activities could be that not all children may have internet access at home so therefore be at a disadvantage by not being able to access the online tool.
