On behalf of all colleagues, we would like to wish you a very warm welcome to the History programme at the University of Roehampton. We know that the Covid pandemic has been difficult for many of you. We regret that we cannot invite you to meet us at our beautiful campus at the moment, but we hope that this site gives us all an opportunity to get to know each other before teaching starts in September.
We want to tell you a little bit about who we are and what we teach. Whether you have already accepted our offer, or have yet to decide what to do in the autumn, we hope you find the resources on this site useful as you prepare for university.
Our programme caters to students with diverse interests and passions. You will have the opportunity to study different historical periods from the Middle Ages to the present day. Our classes cover different parts of the world, including Africa, the Americas, Asia, as well as Britain and Europe.
We hope to see many of you in September 2021 and look forward to working with you on attaining your goals and moving one step closer to fulfilling your career ambitions. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with the History programme convenor, Zbig Wojnowski (zbig.wojnowski@roehampton.ac.uk).
All the best,
Professor Fiona McHardy (Head of History and Classics)
Dr Zbig Wojnowski (Programme Convenor in History)
